Dr Amelia Bonea, a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at St. Anne’s College, University of Oxford and a member of STIH, has been awarded the 2017 Eugenia M. Palmegiano Prize in the history of journalism for her book Amelia Bonea, The News of Empire: Telegraphy, Journalism, and the Politics of Reporting in Colonial India, c. 1830–1900 (Oxford University Press, 2016)
